Laurelville Retreat Center serves 20,000+ youth and adults in a typical year. Volunteers will help prep currently uninhabitable living spaces through a major clean-up and light demolition workday. This service project provides critical prep work to a fall "Blitz Build", a six-day renovation to be conducted by Hosanna House (Pittsburgh) and Mennonite Disaster Services (Maryland) build team. Volunteers will break into groups, each led by a Laurelville staff person, with options from roadway clearing to ripping out walls, to clean-up.
The agency will provide lunch, tools, and additional equipment. Please bring your own work gloves and water.
The minimum age for this project is 18.

We will release all COVID-19 safety guidelines closer to the date of this project. At this time, please anticipate wearing a mask for all indoor volunteer projects. We will be closely following all updated CDC guidelines and recommendations on in-person gatherings.
