Join us for an afternoon of volunteering at Acrisure Stadium!
United Way's Meal Kit Packing Event will allow community members to assist with packing 1,750 meal kits for local families. The meal kits will provide two breakfasts, two lunches, and two dinners for a family of four and will be distributed through United Way partner agencies.
There are five different volunteer tasks available. When registering, please be sure to sign up for the task you are interested in from the choices below:
Shoppers: Shoppers will go shop down the line with a shopping cart assemble all the food needed for one box and then take the items to the packing station.
Packers: Packers will double check the shopping list and neatly pack the food into a box.
Movers: Movers, using carts, will take food from packing stations to taping station, then from taping stations to pallets. IMPORTANT: Repeated bending and heavy lifting required.
Tapers: Tapers perform one last quality check on the boxes, add the recipe cards, and tape the boxes shut.
Stockers: Stockers build boxes, restock food on the tables, and breakdown cardboard.
The event will take place in the Great Hall at Acrisure Stadium, located at 100 Art Rooney Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
